Activities on Maui
With the dawn, Lahaina harbor, just behind the world famous Banyan Tree, comes alive. Guests can go snorkeling, surfing,
diving, whale watching, (one of our
favorites), deep-sea fishing, parasailing, kayaking, or take a romantic sunset dinner cruise.
Explore the islands of Lanai or
Molokai,
or spend a morning at Molokini crater snorkeling, then to turtle town to swim
with the giant gentle green sea turtles.
On your return, refresh yourself with an ice cream cone or Hawaiian shaved ice and enjoy it while sitting in an unbelievable acre of shade under the Banyan tree. Every weekend and holiday local artists show and sell their wares under the tree, and there is often Hawaiian music and hula. "The tree" as the locals simply call it, is the center of most
events, festivals and holiday celebrations in Lahaina Town.
We are located within five minutes of Lahaina
Harbor, the
Banyan
Tree, most of the Historic sites of Old Lahaina Town, and several
beaches, and golf courses,-. I will be happy to make reservations for the
Old Lahaina Luau, to
bicycle down Haleakala, (the worlds largest dormant volcano), a
snorkeling trip on the Trilogy of the Seas, or a helicopter tour of
Maui, Lanai, and/or Molokai, for you. I also have discount tickets for the new, award winning “
Ulalena” show at the Maui Myth and Magic Theatre.
You can find more information on dozens of other activities, or make reservations on - line by going to the following link -
http://www.barefoottours.com/pennysplace , - it will take you directly to the web-site of Barefoot Cashback Tours. Select Maui and you will be able to investigate snorkeling, whale watching, surfing, deep sea fishing, day trips, tours to Hana, Haleakala, Harley and exotic car rentals, horseback riding, golf and anything else you can imagine. I selected this company for my site because they are very knowledgeable and have the best rates with no
gimmicks or time share conditions. Lahaina Town is packed with restaurants,
galleries,
unique shops, nightclubs and historic sites to explore. Visit Lahaina Harbor, behind the world famous Banyan tree, to see the
activity boats up close. Then have lunch or dinner at one of Lahaina’s many fine
Oceanside restaurants.
Go Day
Tripping
During your stay At Penny's Place-Bed and Breakfast, take a day trip to the emerald green mountains of upcountry Maui to visit a winery, take a horseback ride through the cool green valleys abundant with waterfalls, or see mighty
Haleakala volcanic crater at sunrise. You can even arrange to bicycle back down or perhaps descend by hang glider!
Explore little Hawaiian towns with names like Pukalani, Makawao, and Ulupalakua. On the windward side of Maui is the little town of
Hana where you can visit the seven sacred pools or Charles Lindbergs grave site.
He once said, "I would rather spend one day on Maui than a lifetime in New York city." To explore
Maui, you can take a tour van, rent a Harley, helicopter or horse, but a trip upcountry is a Maui memory maker.
